Personal appearance of the applicant/In person

A visit to the office is required when applying for a temporary residence permit, a permanent residence permit, a residence permit for EU long-term resident, or issuance or replacement of a residence card. As of January 1, 2021, this requirement also applies to applications submitted by UK nationals and their family members. Don't forget to bring a valid passport to the visit, as it is used to confirm your identity. During the visit, your fingerprints are captured. Failure to appear in person is a formal deficiency that prevents your application from being processed.
