A declaration of intent by two parties, e.g., persons, to perform specific activities. Types of civil law contracts and the rules for their conclusion are regulated by the Civil Code. Civil law contracts include, among others, a contract of mandate, a contract for specific work.
Work
The termination of the processing of your application without deciding whether you meet the requirements for the permit you applied for. For example, your case can be discontinued when you would like to leave Poland and want to cease the legalization procedure. You may file an appeal against the decision to discontinue the proceedings.
Insurance that covers medical treatment costs in Poland; it allows you to visit a general practitioner and receive hospital care. It is not accident insurance (so-called, NNW). This refers to insurance that enables you to use both outpatient (clinic) and inpatient (hospital) medical services, or a current insurance policy that confirms coverage of treatment costs by the insurer. The Schengen Area is a zone in Europe where internal border checks have been abolished. It currently includes 27 countries, among them almost all European Union member states except Ireland and Cyprus. Additionally, four non-EU countries are also part of the Schengen Area: Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein.
The performance of work as a managerial employee or specialist at a branch or representative office of the parent employer, whose headquarters is located outside the European Union.
A document that allows a foreigner to perform legal work in Poland, provided they stay in Poland legally, i.e., have a valid visa or a temporary residence permit. An extension of a work permit is issued upon the employer's request, on condition that the previous work permit was issued due to work performed for the same employer. The employer to whom you are assigned by a temporary employment agency. The concept of a user employer applies only when the employment relationship is governed by the Act on the Employment of Temporary Workers, and the employer is a temporary work agency.
Anyone who employs at least one employee. Work in Poland can be performed under various conditions specified in the agreement with the person who employs you. The employer signs an employment contract with you, or — if assigning you specific tasks — a contract of mandate. In specific situations, such as when you are commissioned to complete a defined service (e.g., writing a computer program), you may also be employed under a contract for a specific task. Each contract must be signed by both parties — you and the employer.
Work that requires a seasonal work permit. This type of work is most commonly carried out in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, as well as in accommodation and food service activities. The list of activities recognized as seasonal work is specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy on subclasses of economic activities according to the Polish Classification of Activities (PKD), for which seasonal work permits are issued for foreigners.
A document that, along with a valid entry and stay entitlement (e.g., a visa), entitles nationals of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine to perform legal work in Poland, under the conditions specified in the document. The declaration of entrusting work is registered by the employer at the district labour office. The period of employment based on the declaration may not exceed 24 months.
