List of documents confirming the right of residence in Poland for UK nationals for a period exceeding 3 months:
Employees or Self-Employed Persons:
• an employment contract, a certificate of employment, a written statement from the employer or an entity authorized to hire the UK national, expressing the intent to offer employment (in case of planned employment), a written statement of entry in the National Court Register (KRS) or in the Central Registration and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG), or other documentation confirming that the UK national is self-employed in Poland.
Economically Inactive Persons:
• Proof of having sufficient financial resources to support themselves and family members, so as not to become a burden on the social assistance system. This means financial resources exceeding the social assistance thresholds, i.e., more than PLN 776 net monthly for a single-person household or more than PLN 600 net monthly per person in a family.
• A document confirming health insurance coverage.
Students or vocational trainees:
• a certificate from the educational institution confirming admission to or continuation of studies, or admission to vocational training;
• a written declaration of having sufficient financial resources to support themselves and family members, so as not to become a burden on the social assistance system, or a proof of possessing such resources;
• a document confirming health insurance coverage.
Spouses of Polish citizens:
• a document confirming the marriage with a Polish citizen;
Family members of UK nationals who themselves are United Kingdom citizens:
• If you are a family member of a UK national who holds a certificate of residence registration or a document confirming the right of permanent residence, and you are residing together in Poland, the following documents may be required:
a) Spouse — a document confirming the marriage
b) Direct descendants — a document confirming the family relationship, and proof of age or documentation confirming dependency on the UK citizen or their spouse.
c) Direct ascendants — a document confirming the family relationship and documentation proving dependency on the UK citizen or their spouse.
d) Direct ascendants of a minor UK citizen — documentation confirming actual care over the minor UK citizen and evidence that the child is dependent on them.
The UK nationals’ family members who were dependents of UK nationals before the end the transition period, retain their rights even if they later cease to be dependent.
