The minimum amount of financial resources you must have to cover the cost of living for the entire duration of your stay in Poland for study purposes, after deducting the cost of return travel to your country of origin and housing costs (applies to applications submitted after April 27, 2019). If you are staying in Poland alone, the minimum amount is PLN 1010 for each month of stay + cost of return travel to your country of origin and monthly housing costs. If you are staying in Poland with family members who are dependent on you, you must have funds of at least PLN 823 per person (yourself and each family member) per month of stay + funds to cover the return travel costs for you and your family members, and monthly accommodation costs. The required financial resources for covering return travel to your country of origin are:
• PLN 200 if arriving from a country bordering the Republic of Poland,
• PLN 500 if arriving from another EU member state not bordering Poland,
• PLN 2,500 if arriving from a non-EU country.
If you have a return ticket to your country of origin, you are not required to show funds for return travel. Documents that can confirm the possession of sufficient financial resources by a student include: traveller’s checks, bank certificate confirming the credit limit on a credit card, a bank statement from a bank based in Poland or another EU country confirming available funds, document confirming the granting of a scholarship, certificate of employment and income.
