A document that your employer can obtain from the district labour office competent for the place of your work. If it is difficult to determine the main place of work, the district governor’s information is issued by the governor (Staroste) competent for the employer’s registered office or place of residence. This document specifies the number of unemployed and job-seeking individuals registered who meet the requirements for a given position. In order to obtain a work permit or a temporary residence and work permit, the employer must prove that they are unable to satisfy staffing needs based on the available registers. The employment conditions indicated in the district governor’s information — such as type of contract, salary, working hours, and position — must match those specified by the employer in the application for a work permit or in Annex No. 1 to the application for a temporary residence permit. The district governor’s information must not be issued earlier than 180 days before submitting the application for a work/residence permit. This document must be submitted in original.

If you fail to supplement the formal deficiencies in your application, it will be left without examination. Your application will not be considered, and your case will be closed.

The guardian is appointed by the guardianship (family) court in cases of a child whose parents are unknown or who is in Poland without their parents and needs a guardian to represent their interests, for example, in dealings with authorities.

A stay in Poland is considered legal if it takes place during the period of validity of the entry and stay entitlement. The entry and stay entitlement includes: a visa, a temporary residence permit, a permanent residence permit, or a residence permit for a long-term resident of the EU. In addition, foreigners who are exempt from the visa requirement may enter and stay in Poland under so called visa-free travel. Furthermore, if you apply for the legalization of your stay in Poland during the validity period of one of the above-mentioned entry and stay entitlements, and the application contains no formal deficiencies, your stay in Poland will also be considered legal until a final decision regarding residence permit is issued. Regardless of the entry and stay entitlement, possessing a valid passport is a necessary condition for legal stay in Poland.

 

A document that you must attach to your application for a long-term EU resident permit. It confirms your right to occupy a given residential premises. Documents confirming the possession of legal title to the premises include: a rent agreement, an ownership deed, the certificate of occupancy, and a loan-for-use agreement, provided that the person lending the property for use is a descendant, an ascendant, a spouse, spouse's parents, or a sibling of the foreigner.

A document that gives you the legal right to occupy a specific apartment or housing unit, including a rental agreement, a loan-for-use agreement, a property ownership deed, a current excerpt from the land and mortgage register, and the certificate of occupancy.

Full or limited access to the labour market in Poland depends on the type of residence permit you hold. If you have a visa with the right to work, you are allowed to work based on a registered declaration of entrusting work to a foreigner or a valid work permit. The conditions of your employment must correspond with the terms specified in your permits, including the employer, job position, salary, type of contract, and working hours. If you hold a temporary residence and work permit, you may work under the conditions specified in that permit. In particular cases, you have the right to apply for an amendment of the decision. If your temporary residence and work permit does not specify employment conditions or a particular employer, this means you have unrestricted access to the labour market and can take up work anywhere. Other permits that grant full, unrestricted access to the labour market include: temporary residence permit for family members, temporary residence permit due to studies, permanent residence permit, residence permit for a long-term resident of the EU.

Travel document called "he list of travellers for trips within the European Union" is a list of pupils that must be presented at the time of crossing the border, during a school trip organized by Polish schools with the participation of foreigners from third countries. Such a list, prepared by the school principal and approved by the competent Governor, will be considered as a valid travel document in all European Union Member States if it meets the conditions set out in the regulations.

List of documents confirming the right of residence in Poland for UK nationals for a period exceeding 3 months:
Employees or Self-Employed Persons:
•    an employment contract, a certificate of employment, a written statement from the employer or an entity authorized to hire the UK national, expressing the intent to offer employment (in case of planned employment), a written statement of entry in the National Court Register (KRS) or in the Central Registration and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG), or other documentation confirming that the UK national is self-employed in Poland.
Economically Inactive Persons:
•    Proof of having sufficient financial resources to support themselves and family members, so as not to become a burden on the social assistance system. This means financial resources exceeding the social assistance thresholds, i.e., more than PLN 776 net monthly for a single-person household or more than PLN 600 net monthly per person in a family.
•    A document confirming health insurance coverage.
Students or vocational trainees:
•    a certificate from the educational institution confirming admission to or continuation of studies, or admission to vocational training;
•    a written declaration of having sufficient financial resources to support themselves and family members, so as not to become a burden on the social assistance system, or a proof of possessing such resources;
•    a document confirming health insurance coverage.
Spouses of Polish citizens:
•    a document confirming the marriage with a Polish citizen;
Family members of UK nationals who themselves are United Kingdom citizens:
•    If you are a family member of a UK national who holds a certificate of residence registration or a document confirming the right of permanent residence, and you are residing together in Poland, the following documents may be required:
a) Spouse — a document confirming the marriage
b) Direct descendants — a document confirming the family relationship, and proof of age or documentation confirming dependency on the UK citizen or their spouse.
c) Direct ascendants — a document confirming the family relationship and documentation proving dependency on the UK citizen or their spouse.
d) Direct ascendants of a minor UK citizen — documentation confirming actual care over the minor UK citizen and evidence that the child is dependent on them.
The UK nationals’ family members who were dependents of UK nationals before the end the transition period, retain their rights even if they later cease to be dependent.
 

Depending on your place of residence, your application will be processed by the Voivode(Governor) of the respective province (voivodeship). The same principle applies to most institutions you will need to contact. If your employer submits an application for a work permit, the decision will be issued by the Voivode of the province where your employer’s company is based. If you are applying for an intra-corporate transfer, the application will be processed by the Voivode of the province where the host entity in Poland is located.

It is a temporary residence permit that may be granted if you hold an entry and stay entitlement issued by another European Union Member State with the annotation “ICT” and are employed in Poland as a manager, specialist, or trainee in a branch or representative office of a parent employer based outside the EU for a period longer than 90 days.
