Entry and stay entitlement that along with a valid passport, entitles you to enter and stay in the Schengen Area countries. This visa is marked with the symbol C.

Work that requires a seasonal work permit. This type of work is most commonly carried out in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, as well as in accommodation and food service activities. The list of activities recognized as seasonal work is specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy on subclasses of economic activities according to the Polish Classification of Activities (PKD), for which seasonal work permits are issued for foreigners.

A form of conducting business activity where the owner is a natural person or a civil law partnership, registered in the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity, in short (CEIDG). This business structure is available to foreigners who hold a specific document confirming their right to stay in the territory of Poland — entry and stay entitlement.

Consistent and regular earnings. These are amounts earned on a regular basis that meet the minimum required threshold, which you must demonstrate when applying for certain types of residence permits. If you live in a one-person household in Poland, the minimum monthly net income is PLN 1010. In the case of families, the minimum monthly net income is PLN 823 per family member. To prove a stable and regular income, submit documents that indicate the basis for obtaining it, e.g. an employment contract, a contract of mandate, a resolution establishing the amount of remuneration of a management board member, and documents that confirm that you actually receive it on a regular basis, e.g. confirmation of payment of ZUS contributions.
The income must come from a legal source, which means that it must be confirmed by documents legalizing work or other gainful activity, if they were required. Documents legalizing work include, for example, a declaration of entrusting work or a work permit.
This requirement applies to permits for: temporary residence and work (only applications submitted from January 1, 2021 to January 28, 2022), residence for business activity, family reunification, certain other specific circumstances, seasonal work, posted workers, long-term EU resident, permanent residence for UK nationals posted to work in Poland by a foreign employer up to December 31, 2020.
In proceedings for granting long-term EU resident status, your income is assessed for stability, regularity, and legal origin during the 3 years preceding the application. The monthly net income must be equal to or higher than the following amounts:

If the application for a residence permit does not contain formal deficiencies and was submitted during a legal stay, the foreigner's stay is considered legal from the moment of submitting the application until the date on which the decision on granting a temporary residence permit becomes final.
A stamp confirming the submission of an application (the stamp in the passport) can be obtained after fulfilling the requirement of personal appearance to provide fingerprints and after supplementing any formal deficiencies in the application. The stamp can be obtained provided that the case has the status of “positive formal verification” (or “proceedings initiated”) in the application system Foreigners. The stamp does not entitle you to enter Poland or travel within the Schengen area.

A written declaration in which the internship organizer undertakes to cover the costs related to the issuance and enforcement of a commitment to return decision, if such a decision was issued and enforced within 6 months from the expiry of the internship agreement, and the basis for issuing the decision was your illegal stay in the territory of Poland.

It is necessary to inform the voivode who issued the work permit that the foreign national has ceased employment.

A type of residence permit granted to foreigners who have not been granted a refugee status and who, if returned to their country of origin, would face a real risk of suffering serious harm like death penalty, execution, torture, inhuman or degrading treatment, or serious threats to life or health resulting from widespread violence against civilians in situations of internal or international armed conflict. Subsidiary protection is granted by the Head of the Office for Foreigners in Warsaw.

The minimum amount of financial resources you must have to cover the cost of living for the entire duration of your stay in Poland for study purposes, after deducting the cost of return travel to your country of origin and housing costs (applies to applications submitted after April 27, 2019). If you are staying in Poland alone, the minimum amount is PLN 1010 for each month of stay + cost of return travel to your country of origin and monthly housing costs. If you are staying in Poland with family members who are dependent on you, you must have funds of at least PLN 823 per person (yourself and each family member) per month of stay + funds to cover the return travel costs for you and your family members, and monthly accommodation costs. The required financial resources for covering return travel to your country of origin are:
•    PLN 200 if arriving from a country bordering the Republic of Poland,
•    PLN 500 if arriving from another EU member state not bordering Poland,
•    PLN 2,500 if arriving from a non-EU country.
If you have a return ticket to your country of origin, you are not required to show funds for return travel. Documents that can confirm the possession of sufficient financial resources by a student include: traveller’s checks, bank certificate confirming the credit limit on a credit card, a bank statement from a bank based in Poland or another EU country confirming available funds, document confirming the granting of a scholarship, certificate of employment and income.

These are the funds you must ensure for the invited foreigner. Currently, the minimum amount is PLN 515 for yourself, each family member financially dependent on you, and each invited foreigner during their stay. If the above costs are covered jointly with your spouse, attach a written consent from your spouse along with documents confirming your spouse’s financial resources to the application.
Return travel costs for the invited foreigner to their country of origin or residence are considered to be:
•    PLN 200 for return to a country bordering Poland,
•    PLN 500 for return to another European country,
•    PLN 2,500 for return to a non-European third country.

These are the minimum financial resources required to cover the cost of living in Poland. The amount may change, but currently it is: PLN 1010 per month if you live alone or PLN 823 per month for each family member in a shared household.
Documents confirming the possession of these funds shall be issued no earlier than one month before the application date, and they include:
•    a certificate from the bank confirming the credit limit on a credit card;
•    a certificate confirming available funds in a bank or credit union based in Poland;
•    a document confirming the award of a domestic or foreign scholarship;
•    a certificate of employment and income.
Return travel costs for the invited foreigner to their country of origin or residence are considered to be:
•    PLN 200 for return to a country bordering Poland,
•    PLN 500 for return to another European country,
•    PLN 2,500 for return to a non-European third country.

A pause in the processing of your application. For example, if you leave Poland for several months, you may request the suspension of the procedure and its continuation upon your return. If your application meets formal requirements, you can submit a request to suspend the proceedings. Suspension is issued in the form of an administrative provision, which is subject to an appeal. During the suspension period, initiated at your request, your stay will not be legalized on the basis of an ongoing legalization procedure. If you wish to resume the proceedings, you must submit a request for reopening the proceedings.
