Continuous residence of an EU citizen/UK national

For EU citizens, a stay is considered uninterrupted if all absences from Poland do not exceed 6 months in total. This means that your trips abroad during the specified period should not exceed the limits mentioned above. However, there are exceptions to this rule. If you are doing military service or your absence is due to exceptional personal circumstances, such as pregnancy, childbirth, illness, or for reasons related to professional assignments, studies, or vocational training, and these absences do not exceed 12 months in total, include this information in your application. If you properly document the described circumstances, your stay may still be recognized as uninterrupted, despite exceeding the threshold of 6 months abroad.
