European Economic Area (EEA) - a free trade area and common market, including European Union and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries, with the exception of Switzerland.

The EEA includes: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia (not fully), Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Germany, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Hungary, Italy.

An employee of a U.S. contractor refers to a natural person who is neither a citizen of the Republic of Poland nor permanently residing in its territory, who is employed by a U.S. contractor and performs work in the territory of the Republic of Poland in connection with a contract or subcontract for the delivery of goods or provision of services to the U.S. armed forces

Anyone who employs at least one employee. Work in Poland can be performed under various conditions specified in the agreement with the person who employs you. The employer signs an employment contract with you, or — if assigning you specific tasks — a contract of mandate. In specific situations, such as when you are commissioned to complete a defined service (e.g., writing a computer program), you may also be employed under a contract for a specific task. Each contract must be signed by both parties — you and the employer. It should also specify the type of work or the subject of the assignment/task, the time frame and place of performance, and your remuneration. If you do not understand the content of the document you are asked to sign, request the person who wants to employ you to provide a translation into your language. Remember, in addition to signing a contract, you must meet certain legal conditions to work in Poland lawfully.

A contract under which you are employed/provide a service/provide a specific piece of work.

Turkish citizens have special rights to work in the territory of the Republic of Poland.  The rules are defined in Decision No. 1/80 of the Association Council of the Republic of Turkey and the EEC of 19 September 1980 on the development of the Association, which was established based on the Agreement establishing an association between the European Economic Community and Turkey, signed in Ankara on 12 September 1963.  
Based on the agreement a Turkish citizen:
•    after 1 year of legal employment, has the right to renew the work permit with the same employer, provided that the job position is retained, 
•    after 3 years of legal employment (with priority given to Polish citizens), has the right to work in the same profession for any employer,
•    after 4 years of legal employment — may work without a permit.
Regarding family members of Turkish citizens:
•    a family member of a Turkish citizen who has been granted permission to join them under family reunification may take up employment after 5 years of legal residence in Poland,
•    children of a Turkish citizen who have completed vocational training in Poland — may take up employment after 3 years of legal employment of one of the parents in the territory of Poland.

A document that entitles you to stay in Poland or another EU country, e.g. a visa, residence permit or a valid passport of a country whose citizens are entitled to visa-free travel in Poland.

You can extend your national visa while staying in Poland if you meet the conditions specified by law. A national visa can be extended only once. The period of stay on the basis of an extended national visa cannot exceed 1 year. Detailed information can be found on the official website.

 

A document that allows a foreigner to perform legal work in Poland, provided they stay in Poland legally, i.e., have a valid visa or a temporary residence permit. An extension of a work permit is issued upon the employer's request, on condition that the previous work permit was issued due to work performed for the same employer.
